The Long Service Leave Act allows the employee and employer to agree to splitting the leave.
If, by agreement, leave is taken in more than one period, the following arrangements are permitted:
· When the amount of leave is two months, it may be taken in two separate periods.
· Where the leave exceeds two months but does not exceed nineteen and one-half weeks, leave may be taken in two or three separate periods.
· Where the leave exceeds nineteen and one-half weeks, leave may be taken in two, three or four separate periods.
