Sexual Harassment
Sexual harrassment has long been a problem, particularly for women at work. Recent moves by anti-discrimantion tribunals, legislation and union awareness campaigns have meant more publicity for the issue. Offenders are embarrassed and it costs them money.
Sexual harassment is unwanted and unreciprocated sexual advances or innuendos directed towards employees in the workplace. Actions can be a breach of discrimination laws. Also employers have been found to be guilty under Occupational Health and Safety legislation of failing to provide safe and secure work places.
