Again employers have a responsibility to provide a safe workplace. Victimisation and bullying are practices which are discriminatory and punishable under IR legislation and at common law. Depending on circumstances employers face fines, whether or not they are aware of the problem. Guidelines to stamp out bullying, particularly of younger employees have been developed by the National Children's and Youth Law Centre.
