Not sure about your rights at work? - Ask Neale

question

I am working at the Balboa Port in Panama City, we would like to get in contact, or have some information about any union of people who works in ports, harbours, piers and or containers terminals.

Joaquin Carrasco

answer

The Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) has strong international links. Contact them at http://www.mua.tcp.net.au.

The major international shipping and stevedoring union is the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) whose commitment to international action was demonstated to Australians by there support for the MUA in the Patricks' dispute. Peter Reith took them to court because he so resented workers caring about others. They can be contacted at http://www.itf.org.uk
