Home Campaigns Your Rights at Work On The Road 2006On the Road 2006 Background19 April 2006Working people in regional NSW and their families are warmly invited to be a part of Your Rights At Work: On The Road 2006. The tour is a great opportunity for working people to meet the many people in their own communities who are concerned about John Howard's new workplace laws. Learn how the new laws will affect you, your family and friends; learn what it will do to your community; tell others how it has impacted on you; and learn what you can do about it. Your Rights At Work Networks, formed during the successful 2005 tour, meet regularly and are organising BBQs, stalls, family picnics and protests to highlight the impact of the WorkChoices legislation at a local level in your region. Now is a great time to get involved. The word is spreading fast that these new laws aren't good for working people and aren't good for Australia. A grass roots response can and is making a difference. The Your Rights At Work Tour is a big part of that response. Commencing in May, the 2006 'On the Road' tour will be strengthening and building regional networks, holding street stalls, workplace meetings, meeting civic and religious leaders and holding evening meetings on how WorkChoices legislation affects your community. Come along. Get involved. Your Rights At Work are worth fighting for. |
