What is the minimum wage in Australia?

The union movement argues before wage tribunals at a national and state level on behalf of all Australian workers to improve the minimum wage. The minimum wage depends on the industry you work in and the award that applies. At present the Federal Minimum Wage for adult full time workers is $431.40 per week. Juniors and trainees may be paid less than this rate. Once again, if you are in doubt contact your union or the ACTU Helpline.
