Say No To Mega Councils

Date: 28 November 2003

The United Services Union will hold a rally outside NSW Parliament House on Thursday 4th December opposing any forced amalgamations of NSW Local Councils.

The Carr Government has given assurances to the Union and the voters of New South Wales there would be no forced amalgamations of Councils.

This was the electoral promise of the Premier Bob Carr in 2003.
