Year 75 of PSA Women's CouncilDate: 08 March 2005
It focuses on the great issues where Women's Council has been central to the PSA's successes - equal pay and maternity leave - and touches on many other activities. Some of the great female leaders are featured. It's an unfinished story. There are current campaigns, such as the bullying campaign, and there are many aspects of equity which are being addressed. The 2030 bumper issue will undoubtedly feature new objectives and additional successes, some from the current era. Much of the work of Women's Council, and Women@Work, is the persistent hard work of presenting the merits of the causes and keeping them before our members and councils, our colleagues throughout the union movement, and before the public. That's a big part of winning our objectives of improving the living standards and rights of our members. For a pdf copy of Women @ Work go to Women@Work March 2005, Year 75 of Women's Council. If you are interested in finding out more about women in the PSA, read the other items in the Women's Section of our website or contact the PSA Women's Unit on women@psa.asn.au or 9220 0906.
