'ALP to end bosses rule.'Date: 26 April 2007
A union is a number of persons joined or associated together for some common purpose: student union; trade union etc; Business Council of Australia CEO's joined together in pursuit of corporate profits. Australian Industry Group, employers joined together in pursuit of 'competitive workplaces', euphemism for more money for shareholders at the expense of workers. The Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, represents the interests of big business at the national level; making it the ACTU of the business world. The Howard government; a wholly owned subsidiary of the bosses unions. Yes Mr. Howard, workers should be afraid of the union bosses, but not the ones you are constantly carping about in an attempt to demonise. 11 years of stacking of the AIRC and other judicial institutions by your government on behalf of the bosses unions will be ended by the ALP policy proposal. I am sure that the political appointments to the AIRC done on behalf of the bosses unions will be well taken care of, unlike most of the workers who have been on the sharp end of Howard's unjust workplace legislation. The bosses unions have proved themselves far more militant in their ruthless pursuit of profit than any trade union I have ever seen.
