Uni of Wollongong Test Case

Date: 08 August 2001

The Federal Court in Sydney will hand down its Decision in relation to a prosecution of the University of Wollongong by the NTEU tomorrow, 8th August, at 9.30am in Sydney.

The NTEU alleges that the University breached its agreement with staff when it sacked an academic, Dr Ted Steele, without reference to the serious misconduct procedures set out in the Agreement.

NTEU Officers and staff will be available for comment at a media conference outside the Federal Court in Sydney at 11.30AM on Wednesday 8th August.
