AFL teams support Ansett

Friday in Melbourne saw the annual AFL Grand Final players' parade through the streets of the city. And Ansett workers were there to drum up public support and to wish the teams well for Saturday's game.

A delegation of Ansett employees was invited to greet the players as they prepared to march up Swanston Street. The Ansett staff presented each player with an "Ansett: as aussie as footy" sticker, and asked them to sign one of two Sherrin Footballs. The Footballs are to be auctioned to raise money for the Ansett Hardship Fund.

Sincere thanks to all at the AFL who made this event possible, and to the Essendon team who wore Ansett blue and gold ribbons during the parade.
