Building workers honor Glen McEnallyDate: 04 April 2002
Up to 30 gigantic blue ribbons are flying from tower cranes in down town Sydney this afternoon, in honour of Constable Glenn McEnally, the young Sydney policeman killed in the line of duty. The decision to pay this tribute came from building workers on Sydney construction sites and has been supported by the CFMEU office. CFMEU State secretary Andrew Ferguson acknowledged CFMEU members for their initiative. "Building work is a dangerous occupation, just like policing. These gigantic ribbons are a tribute from construction workers to honour Constable McEnally."
