Let McDonalds Know! Parks Are For People: barbeque outside McDonalds near the university on NSW. 10 Barket Street Kingsford, Tuesday March 7, noon - 1pm.

Following numerous requests from local residents and members of the general public, the building wokrers union, the CFMEU has placed an interim green ban on the proposed construction of a McDonalds fast-food outler at an entrance to Centennial Park.

Sydney is chock-a-block with McDonalds outlets - there is no need for them to start encroaching on public space.

To raise public awareness of the issue a free lunch is being organised outside the closest McDonalds outlet to the propsed site.

Have a nice lunch, hear what it's all about and send tghe message loud and clear to McDonalds.

Then wander up the hill to hear 'The Bald Truth' at the UNSW leg of Costa's Campus Tour.
