Call Centre Health and Safety DaysDate: 26 November 2002
The Australian Services Union in conjunction with Worksafe Victoria are holding the first of a series of Call Centre Health and Safety days tomorrow. The union will be launching a survey, providing reinvigorating massages, healthy food and information on health and safety practices in the call centre industry. Performers from the Melbourne Workers Theatre will be entertaining the workers with a specially commissioned call centre health and safety themed performance. The Call Centre Health and Safety Days are being presented as part of the ASU/Worksafe Call Centre Health and Safety Project. The two year project aims to develop an occupational health and safety best practice model for this emerging industry. Tomorrow's inaugural Call Centre Health and Safety Day will be held from 11.30am - 2.30pm at the Qantas and Publicis Loyalty call centres at 50 Franklin Street, Melbourne. For further information please contact the ASU's Call Centre Health and Safety Project Officer Teresa Davison on 03 9342 3407 or 0417 516 374.
