Overview:

We are looking for a registered nurse who is passionate about both nursing and trade union principles.

The Recruitment Liaison Officer (RLO) is a new position and will be part of the Professional Services Team. The work will be both demanding and rewarding. You must hold a current drivers licence and be able to travel.

Job Description:

The position will be responsible for:

the recruitment of undergraduate/trainee enrolled nurse students as members of the Association responding to and meeting the information needs of these students identifying potential professional/trade union issues of interest or concern to the students and the Association and to respond accordingly developing student Branches as per the NSWNA rules actively representing the Association in a wide range of forums networking and forming alliances with key stakeholders, such as university lecturers, key government departments providing educational sessions to enhance students knowledge of nursing and the NSWNA.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. You must be self-confident, energetic, motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.

You should have a good understanding of the health system, and contemporary issues that affect nurses both professionally and politically.

Desired:

You must have demonstrated presentation skills and well developed information technology skills with proven competence in the application of the Micro Soft Office suite.
