| Overview: |
This position primarily involves all aspects of construction industry occupational health and safety (OH&S) compliance, including site inspections on civil and commercial construction projects, and providing training and advice to organisers, officials and members.
Includes the writing of reports to all levels of of union, government and industry.

| Job Description: |
The main duties are:
* Ensure site OH&S compliance, including trade specific inspections,
* Liaising with WorkCover,
* Providing advice and support for organisers, members and employers,
* Providing training to site safety reps and delegates,
* Participation in WorkCover NSW working parties and other industry committees,
* writing reports and submissions to government and industry committees.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Must have completed extensive OH&S certified courses and obtained a high level of qualification, or had extensive experience in a similar position in the construction industry,
* Must have very strong understanding and experience of NSW OH&S laws & regulations,
* Must have excellent written and oral communication and good organisation skills.
* Must be computer literate and have strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel etc.
* Good working knowledge of WorkCover NSW Codes of Practice & Regulations.
* Ability to research legislative changes and WorkCover amendments and communicate to officials and members.

| Desired: |
Five years construction industry OH&S experience.
Tertiary qualifications and Certificates in relevant OH&S courses.

| Salary: |
Salary package of $72,000 plus motor vehicle.
|
 |
