To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of contemporary industrial relations legislation and practices and experience in the enforcement of collective agreements and awards. It is essential that you demonstrate your ability in the areas of negotiation and tribunal advocacy of individual member and award/agreement compliance matters.
You should also demonstrate commitment to the trade union movement as well as the commitment to strive for the advancement of nurses and the nursing profession. It is essential that you have a degree in industrial relations, arts or other relevant tertiary qualification as well as a current NSW drivers licence.
To be successful in the role, it is essential that you be able to demonstrate a member-focused approach and expert negotiation and communication skills. You must be self-confident, motivated, have a strong attention to risk management and be able to operate in an environment of rapid change and multitasking.
