Overview:

The Australian Federation of Air Pilots is a trade union and professional association representing almost 3000 Australian pilots from all sectors of the Australian aviation industry, including Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Tiger Airways, Qantaslink, National Jet Systems, Alliance and the broad range of commercial operations, including RFDS, Bristow Helicopters, CHC Helicopters to name but a few.

Due to expanding membership, and to meet the challenges of the Australian aviation industry, an opportunity exists with the Federation for a Melbourne based position of Industrial and Employment Advisor.

Job Description:

As the initial point of industrial contact for members, you will be providing preliminary advice and follow up support to members on all matters relating to their employment, including the application of Awards, Workplace Agreements and relevant legislation.

You will also have the opportunity to assist senior staff prepare and progress individual matters and workplace campaigns.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

This position would be ideal for an industrial practitioner with one-two years experience.

Desired:

Graduates with a keen interest in industrial relations should also consider applying.

Salary:

A salary package of around $50,000 (including superannuation) is available.

Information:

Some interstate travel may be involved.
