Overview:

The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) is one of Australias largest and most innovative trade unions.

CPSU represents members in various industry groups such as the public sector, call centres, broadcasting, telecommunications and IT, aviation, science and research and employment services. Based in the CBD we are currently seeking to appoint a Processing Officer to join our busy team within the Member Service Centre

Job Description:

You will primarily be responsible for providing an administrative & processing service for the Membership Service Centre and maintaining an up-to-date and accurate membership database. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Processing of membership forms

Processing payments

Updating membership

Membership dues rejections

Correspondence with members

Report running

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

Posses excellent communication skills and be highly customer/member service oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Intermediate to advanced PC Skills, particularly with MS Word and Excel Data entry skills consistent with the accuracy required by the databases guidelines.
The ability to manage time effectively and multi task The ability to contribute to a team oriented environment The ability and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
The ability to work independently or with little supervision.

Desired:

It is desired that you are community oriented and/or show a commitment to promoting the principles of the union movement. Be able to demonstrate the ability to be flexible and responsive to the changing demands on the role. Previous experience in records management, using Pivotal software, however this is not essential.

Salary:

Salary starts at OS2.3 $40.338 + 13% superannuation, plus excellent hours, flex time and conditions
