Overview:

: AIPA is the industrial and professional association for airline pilots employed by the Qantas Group of airlines

AIPA wishes to employ an Assistant Industrial Advisor to deliver services to its growing membership across the Qantas Group. The role is an entry level role for a new graduate in law and/or industrial relations or recent graduate with some background in industrial relations but keen to further develop their skills.

Job Description:

The primary purpose of the Assistant Industrial Advisor role is to assist the Industrial Advisor and Legal Consultant to achieve positive outcomes for members in the workplace (both collectively and individually) while operating under direction.

The primary purpose will be achieved by developing and utilising dispute resolution skills including the identification of issues, legal research and analysis.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

Undergraduate degree in Law and/or Industrial Relations.

Desired:

: Knowledge of the Australian industrial relations system and processes

Advocacy experience, or demonstration of capacity to develop advocacy skills

High level written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability in legal and/or industrial relations research and attention to detail.

Drivers licence.

Salary:

Range $55,000 - $65,000 including 9% super depending on experience and skills. In addition, salary packaging is available together with employer provided secure car parking.
