Branch Organiser Monash University NTEU Branch CLAYTON)0.6 Part Time Position

The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers nearly 10,000 members employed in universities, associated companies, Research Institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The NTEU maintains a Branch Office at most Victorian universities. The Unions membership includes Academic, General staff, Research and Professional staff.

The NTEU is a vibrant and active union that engages in membership organisation and representation, enterprise bargaining, and institutional, sectoral and public campaigning.

The NTEU Victorian Division is seeking applications for the position of Organiser at the Monash branch.

The candiadate will be required to under general direction, take responsibility for the completion of assigned organising, campaign, representation and administrative tasks or projects. The position will work directly with Branch Officers, the Branch Committee and relevant Division and National staff.

Remunerated within the following range: (depending on skills and experience) NTEU level 4 ($49,236 - $55,087 pro rata) + 17% employer superannuation contributions. The terms and conditions for this position are covered by a national collective agreement which has terms comparable with NTEU members in the industry.
