| Job Description: |
The Foundation is seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to assist with its day-to-day operations. Reporting to the honorary Secretary, the Executive Officer will work from the Evatt office in Trades Hall Sydney, and will be responsible for:
Management of the office and the administration of the Foundation, including basic bookkeeping(MYOB), banking and reporting; Co-ordination of events; Website maintenance; Co-ordination of Evatt fellows and volunteers; Day-to-day relationships of the Evatt members and other organisation; Assisting with the management of the production of Evatt publications; Promoting membership of the Foundation; Marketing, publicity and media relations; Soliciting grants, donations and other sponsorships.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
The Foundation is looking for a person who has:
Strong organisational skills and can work without supervision and with limited instruction; A good understanding of the trade union movement and other progressive organisations; Competent computer skills and an ability to learn new programs quickly; An understanding of contemporary issues of interest to the Asutralian labour movement.

| Desired: |
This is not a research position, but some research skills and an ability to critically evaluate academic material would be an advantage.

| Salary: |
Approx. $60K pa, pro rata
6 month fixed contract (possibility for permanent appointment after the initial 6 months)
Part-time (approx. 3 days/week, however this is negotiable).

Additional Information: |
This is a new position and will be offered on an initial 6 month contract on a part-time basis. While the position will be offered over 3 days a week (21 hours), there will be considerable flexibility over the hours and days of work, and some flexibility over the total contracted hours.
