Job Description:

Melbourne based close to public transport

We have created a new position of Research/Policy Officer.

To be successful in the position it is envisaged you will have:-

A commitment to union principles;

A high level of knowledge and skills in research and policy writing; Sound analytical/problem solving and data analysis skills; The ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy; The ability to write clearly and concisely; Interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and engage with workers, industry representatives and other stakeholders; An awareness of the contemporary industrial, industry environment and an understanding of the current issues in all areas of coverage The ability to plan and manage your time

It would be an advantage to hold an appropriate formal qualification and/or have relevant research and policy development experience.

Immediate start is available. A wage commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated.
