The Finance Sector Union exists to promote, improve and protect the working conditions and entitlements of its members within the finance industry. Our National Office in Melbourne invites applications from interested persons to fill the temporary position of Information and Advice Officer within our Member Rights Centre.

| Job Description: |
The Information and Advice Officer will report to the Head of Contact Centres and will be responsible for the provision of a wide range of services to FSU members. These services include the provision of accurate industrial information and workplace advice, answering the Union's 1300 number, responding to emails and faxes received at the Union's fax and email addresses, the sale of member services products, updating membership data and directing calls.
The successful applicant's normal hours of work will be rostered to cover the centre's hours of operation, 8am-8pm (Melbourne time) Monday to Friday.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
A commitment to the principles of organised labour and unionism together with excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in phone based work will be highly regarded. The Information and Advice Officer will also have knowledge of industrial relations issues, industrial awards, agreements and laws applicable to finance workers (training will be provided).

| Salary: |
A salary from $48,769 is offered with increase up to $56,994 with experience and qualifications. The FSU also offers other excellent working conditions including employer superannuation contributions of 15%.
