The ASU is a dynamic and progressive union committed to grassroots organising and campaigning. We cover industries in the community, public and private sector.

We are looking for a graduate or an experienced Organiser to work from our Sydney office with our members in the public transport industry. You will be responsible for

- working with members to organise their workplace and/or employer

- managing a range of industrial disputes

- negotiating with employers and appearing before industrial tribunals

- co-ordinating workplace campaigns

- identifying and developing new delegates and activists

- increasing the skills and involvement of existing and new delegates.

experience within the union movement as a union official or senior delegate; or graduate
- ability to read and interpret Awards
- ability to recruit new members
- proven negotiation skills
- experience in running campaigns

driver' licence
- understanding or experience in one of the industries the ASU covers.

$56 881 - $74 462 pa depending on experience
