| Overview: |
The Medical Scientists Association of Victoria is an autonomous component association of the Victoria No 4 Branch of the Health Services Union of Australia. The MSAV represents a range of science qualified health professionals in the public and private sectors in Victoria.
The MSAV is seeking to recruit a Senior Industrial Officer as part of a small, progressive industrial team.

| Job Description: |
The role includes advocacy, negotiating with employers and government, representing the Union in various forums, provision of strategic advice, mentoring of staff and deputising for the Executive Officer.
|
| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Tertiary qualifications are required.
Substantial experience in a similar position is necessary. Demonstrated commitment to the trade union movement is essential.
|
|
| Desired: |
Legal qualifications are desirable and knowledge of the health industry would be an advantage.
|
|
| Salary: |
An attractive salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant, depending on qualifications and experience.
