| Job Description: |
Working within a team environment, the focus of the position is to provide industrial representation to members in respect to grievance and disciplinary and professional matters in the AIRC and other tribunals, undertake general industrial research, write information for members, and participate in members campaigns.
The position will assist the Senior Industrial officer in drafting, reviewing and negotiating Collective Agreements.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Proven ability to strategically plan and manage industrial campaigns, including attention to risk management and the capacity operate in an environment of rapid change.
Knowledge of the new legislative changes to the Workplace Relations Act.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and achieve agreed outcomes for members.
Ability to work under pressure within a team and respond to various needs of members.
Ability to research and prepare submissions and reports on membership issues.
Strong advocacy skills to represent the Branch before appropriate tribunals and on industry and government consultative bodies Good communication, writing and computer skills
experience: Applicants should have experience in industrial relations, preferably in a similar position, a commitment to Trade Union principles and enthusiasm for further increasing our membership and supporting our delegate networks. Completion of, or enrolment in, an industrial relations or industrial law qualification is desirable but not essential.
