| Job Description: |
The Industrial Advocate reports to the Local Executive Secretary and is responsible for handling member grievances and disputes, the vigorous representation of members and as a reference point for members, FSU Reps and staff.
The Advocate provides accurate information and advice to members and workplace reps, represents members with grievances in discussions with their employer and works with field organisers to identify organising and campaigning opportunities. They will take a team leader role in enterprise bargaining with WA based employers, including drafting of agreements under the guidance of the Local Executive Secretary and FSU National Office. They may on occasion prepare cases and represent members in industrial tribunals.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Knowledge of industrial laws as well as experience or training in negotiation of Agreements are essential along with a commitment to and enthusiasm for trade unionism.
|
|
| Desired: |
Knowledge of the Finance Industry will be highly regarded.
|
|
| Salary: |
Salary will be in the range of $55,000 to $60,000 dependent on skills and experience and excellent working conditions are provided.
