National Tertiary Education Union

The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) represents almost 24,000 academic and general staff in Universities and other tertiary education providers with almost 1,700 members in Western Australia. NTEU is seeking a highly motivated staff member as Branch Organiser for its WA Division - Curtin University Branch.

The Curtin University Branch Organiser position is available as a full-time position but an appointment may be made at 0.8 if that is the wish of the successful applicant. The position will be based at the Branch Office on the Bentley Campus of Curtin University but the appointee will have responsibilities across all Curtin University campuses. The appointee is expected to have their own vehicle and a current WA Drivers Licence.

The appointments will be made at NTEU Level 4 or NTEU Level 5, depending on the qualifications and experience of the person appointed. Effective from 31 August 2008, NTEU Level 4 has a salary package in the range $59,622 - $66,708, and NTEU Level 5 has a salary package in the range $67,886 - $73,397, including a 17% employer superannuation component. There are also very generous Leave arrangements. The terms and conditions of the position are in accordance with the NTEU National Union Collective Agreement 2006-2008. A copy of this Agreement is available from the WA Division on request.
