Overview:

JOB VACANCY WORKERS HEALTH CENTRE

The Workers Health Centre (www.workershealth.com.au) is Australias longest established provider of OHS and workplace rehabilitation services. We are a non-profit organisation with long-standing relationships with many trade unions, employer, government organisations and community services.

The Centre requires:

1 fulltime Occupational Therapist to provide a diverse range of rehabilitation and specialised services to injured workers and achieve positive return to work outcomes.

1 fulltime Rehabilitation Counsellor /Rehab Manager to undertake case management and rehabilitation counselling and oversee established job seeking program. and provide leadership to a small team of professional case managers.

Selection Criteria

Rehabilitation Manager / Counsellor

1.Degree or Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling

2.A demonstrated knowledge of and capacity for management of client programs in a community based rehabilitation setting.

3.A demonstrated ability to plan, Co-ordinate and evaluate activities and apply these skills to independent decision making throughout an individual client program.

4.Well-developed competence in Rehabilitation Counselling and a demonstrated ability to manage own professional development.

5.A demonstrated ability to provide professional supervision on client program management and Rehabilitation Counselling.

6.A demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with clients.

7.Demonstrated skills relating to personal efficiency, oral and written communication, and a willingness and ability to integrate, with training, the use of current information technology into professional practice.

8.A demonstrated ability to work constructively with others and initiate planning and service development activities.

9.Demonstrated ability to provide leadership within a team environment that delivers positive outcomes and encourages personal growth.

10.Ability to manage staff in rehabilitation provision including Functional and reporting procedures and standard administrative practices.

11.Commitment to the principal at social justice and an understanding of the principles of trade unionism and the Labor movement.
