| Overview: |
The ACTU Call Centre provides industrial advice and referral via our Workers Hotline and facilitates a broad range of campaigns for affiliates and other organisations. The membership joining facility, Unions Australia, is also managed by the Call Centre.
These positions provide administrative support to the ACTU Call Centre and Unions Australia as they continue to grow and develop.

| Job Description: |
The position involves performing the day to day administrative and membership functions of the Call Centre.
As some of the workflow of the Centre relies on elements performed by this role, they are crucial to the smooth running of the Call Centre.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
High level customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
High level telephone skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High level skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer.
Positive attitude under pressure.

| Desired: |
An understanding of the values of the union movement would be an advantage.
Some exposure to Access would be an advantage.

| Salary: |
$43,996 (Pro rata for part-time position)
|
 |
Additional Information: |
These positions will initially be contract to January 2009.
The part-time position is 21 hours per week worked over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
