| Job Description: |
To provide a high quality responsive industrial service to members. Provide industrial advice, support and representation of members in meetings with employers, government representatives and in tribunal settings as the case may be.
Commitment to unionism, equal opportunity and social justice. Computer Literacy Specific skills required to resolve industrial and membership issues and deal with difficult people or situations on the telephone: Listening, questioning, empathy, negotiation, diplomacy, assertiveness, realistic and strategic.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Demonstrated Experience in: Utilising personal computers and databases. Researching the Internet for relevant information, capacity to develop and apply knowledge of:"Organising Model" Awards, Industrial Agreements, Legislation and other relevant documents Union operations and services. Ability to: assess/interpret industrial/general member enquiries. Communicate effectively verbally, in writing and electronically. Solve problems and make decisions. Resolve and finalise cases, undertake research both manually and electronically utilising the Union's Intranet. Establish priorities, manage own workload and meet required deadlines. Work independently and as a team member. Seek advice from Lead Organiser.

| Salary: |
$48,714.00 to $68,424.00. Salary is determined on level of skills and experience.

The job is located at Level 2, 6 Palmer Parade, Cremorne/Richmond Vic 3121. This description is indicative of the range of job requirements. The job comprises of other duties as required. A current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential. Travel to Regional Victoria and/or interstate will be required.
