| Overview: |
The Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation is a registered trade union established to promote and service the needs of salaried senior medical practitioners in New South Wales. Our current Executive Director has resigned after being with us for more than 10 years and we are looking for someone who will:
jobdescription: Represent our members in industrial negotiations with employers;
Represent the interests of salaried doctors to the NSW and Commonwealth Governments, in the media and with other relevant organisations; and,
Provide effective leadership for the ASMOF industrial and office staff.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Essential:Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant relevant experience in strategic and operational industrial relations at a senior level; familiarity with the NSW / Federal industrial systems; demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; ability to flexibly manage people and situations; demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities; ability to manage budgetary, financial, personnel and office matters; and, commitment to the principles of the trade union movement.

Experience in the NSW Health industry.
|

| Salary: |
An attractive remuneration package of approx. $135K (depending on skills and experience), including private use of a motor vehicle and flexible remuneration packaging, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
