Relationship management
Manage the relationship with unions and commercial partners at a senior level and supervise the day to day relationships with unions/partners. Partners include super funds and related organisations within the Industry Fund Network.
Marketing and communications
Develop and implement workplace marketing strategies to meet the objectives of Member Connect, unions and partners.
Using established ACTU distribution channels and through the development of new strategies promote the services of key partners at union conferences, training courses, electronic and paper communications and at workplaces.
Promote the ACTU call centre and other Member Connect services to unions and their members. Write and produce communications relating to Member Connect and ACTU services.
Development of new services
Develop new products and services that add value to union membership and that are consistent with the objectives of Member Connect.
Conduct tenders, undertake due diligence and negotiate contracts with prospective commercial partners.
ACTU Conference program
Coordinate the development of a recognition program for sponsors including events, conferences and other forums.
At a senior level manage the relationships with major industry super funds and related organisations within the Industry Fund Network.
Staff management, financial management and operational duties
Responsibility for the effective financial performance of ACTU Member Connect including drafting annual budgets, measurement against actual performance and analysing and reporting on financial statements.
Overall management responsibility for around 20 staff members.
Preparing reports and reporting to the Member Connect board, ACTU Executive and ACTU Secretary
