Overview:

LHMU Victoria is a diverse and progressive union improving the lives of workers in hospitality, childcare, cleaning, security, healthcare and manufacturing.

We provide a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

jobdescription: Melbournes casino has a diverse workforce including hotel housekeepers, security guards, dealers, waiting staff, and many more. Casino staff expect a strong, powerful and hard-working union team.

The Lead Organiser will:

- Lead and manage a team of organisers

- Script and debrief organising conversations

- Run activist and delegate committee meetings

- Liaise with employers as directed

- Track, analyse and report on the teams organising work

- Support the objectives of the union as a whole

- Perform the same organising tasks as team members as required

Job Description:

At least one years organising experience.

- Demonstrated success at growing union membership

- Passion for the union movement.

- Ability to work long and unpredictable hours.

- Drivers licence

- Experience in union, community, social justice, student or other activist campaigns

- Community languages a plus.
