The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) is one of Australias largest and most innovative trade unions.
The CPSU is looking for an administration assistant with an analytical mind and strong organisational skills. The role will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support to union staff within a moderate sized office. The successful candidate will have demonstrated abilities to liaise with people at all levels, experience in supporting a team, and be adept at performing tasks similar to that of a personal assistant role. You will have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. In addition to this, you will have sound typing and data entry skills and have experience in working with a database related software package.

| Job Description: |
The primary function of the role is to provide administrative support functions to union staff members within a moderate sized regional office. Two areas of work are defined under this function. One is the provision of general administrative office wide support functions. The other is more specific in meeting the growth strategy of the union. Working with Organisers, the position will be responsible for data entry and maintenance of member and potential member details into the Unions membership system.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
XDemonstrated experience performing tasks consistent with that of an administrative assistant including but not limited to: receiving and transferring calls; scheduling meetings and bookings; processing incoming and outgoing mail; processing membership payments; co-ordinating car bookings and other resources; record keeping; data entry; report preparation; minute taking and general assistance with administrative work load as required XDemonstrated admin coordination experience, for example, co-ordinating bookings, diary management, & team meetings. liaising with staff to set up conference calls, catering, and assisting in the preparation of equipment for presentations etc XExperience in generating and analysing database generated reports XExperience working with database related software package
Key competencies and skill sets:
XExcellent written and verbal communication skills XIntermediate PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook XAccurate data entry skills XAbility to manage time effectively and multi task XAbility to demonstrate intuition and judgement, particularly when dealing with sensitive material XAbility to contribute to a team oriented environment XThe ability and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

| Salary: |
$38,192 - $46,742 + 13.25% superannuation
