Job Description:

The Union Summer internship program, now in its eighth year, will be held again in January 2009.

What is Union Summer?

Union Summer is a program where unions take on young activists for a three-week internship to give them first-hand experience of life in a union. The program aims to identify young people interested in workers rights and social justice, and to develop them as activists who will support organising in their workplaces, places of study and communities.

Union Summer is an ideal opportunity to develop activists' understanding about the impact of the IR changes on the lives of working people and their families.

The program is growing every year, with more and more young activists wishing to experience the opportunity of working in a union.
