| Overview: |
The Finance Sector Union, Victorian/Tasmanian Branch is currently seeking applications for two permanent Field Organiser positions.
|
|
| Job Description: |
The Field Organiser will be responsible for encouraging workers to join the Union and act collectively for better working conditions. You will do this by visiting workplaces, recruiting members and workplace leaders and developing their confidence and skills.
|
| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
• A commitment to and enthusiasm for trade unionism
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of negotiations, consultations and dispute settlements for individual members or collectively
• An ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Knowledge of contemporary industrial relations issues and practices and industry or trade union experience will be highly regarded.

| Desired: |
No formal qualifications are required, but pervious experience in a similar role, or as a union delegate would be an advantage.
|
|
| Salary: |
A salary from $50,720 is offered with increase up to $59,274 with experience and qualifications. The FSU also offers other excellent working conditions including employer superannuation contributions of 15% and a 9 day /70 hour fortnight.
