Overview:

The Senior Executive Officer, Union Business Support directs the strategic and operational management of the organisations union business support functions and leads the finance, membership and services management team in the provision of quality and innovative services to the TWU NSW executive and relevant committees, the union business (organising) function and union membership.

Job Description:

Further the influence, credibility and income of the TWU NSW by managing and growing the financial, information technology and services programs and support functions

Ensure full system capability of the financial, information technology, membership and employee services functions by directing and managing the delivery of quality and innovative services from the Union Business Support management team and external providers

Ensure the management of strategic and operational finances by designing and executing streamlined financial accounting systems and procedures for the NSW Office

Support union membership growth by researching financial options, preparing strategic financial reports, briefings, models and campaign budgets for the NSW Office and relevant Committees, and making recommendations on finance related issues, for example investment, fleet, risk, to the NSW Secretary

Develop the technical capabilities of the Union Business Support management team by mentoring and guiding staff.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

Relevant finance/business/people management qualifications or demonstrated related experience

High level skills in people management, developing and initiating advice and implementing strategy

High level interpersonal and written communication, influencing and strategic analysis skills

Skills in working across micro and macro financial issues, initiating and developing financial advice and reports

Understanding of an union business support environment

Understanding of membership systems and operations

Ability to lead staff and teams

Knowledge of relevant Microsoft programs.

Salary:

$80,000 salary + car. Superannuation contributions of 9%.

Information:

Position is located at the Sydney office of the TWU - NSW, 33 Cowper Street, Parramatta NSW and reports directly to the NSW Secretary.
