The USU represents members in the Local Government, Clerical and Administrative, Airlines, Energy and Utilities industries. The Manager Legal & Industrial leads a team of officials in providing advice and industrial advocacy services as well as the development and implementation of collective bargaining and policy initiatives.

The position presents an opportunity for a committed industrial practitioner to improve the working lives of employees in New South Wales.

Job Description:

The successful applicant shall be required to work within both the NSW and the Federal Industrial Relations systems and appear and supervise work in a range of tribunals including the New South Wales Industrial Relations Commission, New South Wales Chief Industrial Magistrates Court and the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

A Bachelor or higher degree in Law, Industrial Relations, Economics or other suitable qualifications and a suitable level of experience and knowledge is required. Legal qualifications are highly desirable.

Salary:

The salary range is $81,068 to $$96,408 + Super.

Information:

The position is based in the Unions Sydney office. Union employees enjoy generous conditions commensurate with New South Wales local government and Union policy. The position includes a nine-day fortnight and use of a motor vehicle.
