Unions NSW is seeking to employ a communications officer. The successful applicant would be responsible for implementing innovative communications strategies for Unions NSW, particularly via the web. In particular, the successful applicant should show:
Capacity to develop and implement significant change to the Unions NSW website.
Demonstrated capacity to produce publications (including research and write articles) using demonstrated skills in desktop publishing.
Capacity to develop and implement communications strategies with affiliates, government, employers and the broader community.
Capacity to contribute to the development of strategies for union campaigning/organising and be actively involved in their implementation.
Ability to carry out day to day co-ordination of media and public relations.
