Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union - National Office

Applications are sought for the above position in the National Office in Sydney.

The LHMU represents 120,000 workers in a diverse range of industries in Branches in each State and Territory.

The scope of responsibilities will include

• Working within the Legal and Industrial team in a new Federal legislative environment

• Preparation, advocacy and implementation of Modern Awards through the Award Modernisation process

• Representing the LHMU and its members in Fair Work Australia proceedings and other relevant forums, e.g. the ACTU

• Performing industry and legal research

• Leading and co-ordinating bargaining with national employers

• Providing information training and support for Union officials, delegates and members.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with well developed research, communication, advocacy, and written skills, and be computer literate. A strong commitment to the Union movement is essential. Some interstate travel will be required.

The Union offers an attractive salary package inclusive of superannuation and motor vehicle allowance.
