| Overview: |
The Branch is seeking applications for a temporary (12 month) staff member for its Organising and Campaigning Team, based in the ASU Authorities and Services Branch, Melbourne.
|
|
| Job Description: |
This position provides high level research, administrative and organising support to the Organising and Campaigning Team (OCT). The officer will participate in a work team environment, using communication and information systems appropriately to contribute to the strategic growth of the ASU membership.
The position is situated in a very dynamic and diverse environment requiring flexibility and openness to new ideas and approaches.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
A commitment to trade unionism and the labor movement;
Advanced computer software skills, especially MS Office Suite, Adobe Professional Suite, Internet Explorer and online survey applications.
|
|
| Desired: |
Research and data base skills.Writing skills at publishable level;
A good understanding of the organising model and the use of information and research in organising, recruitment and industrial campaigns; An understanding of ASU industries and membership areas; The ability to effectively communicate with Branch Officials and delegates in order to assist with enquiries and provide relevant information and assistance
