The Victorian/Tasmanian Branch of the Finance Sector Union invites applications for a permanent Organiser position.
|
|
| Job Description: |
The Organiser will be responsible to the Local Executive Secretary for executing an organising plan within designated sites. The successful applicant will also be responsible for encouraging finance workers to join the Union and act collectively for better working conditions. You will do this by visiting workplaces, recruiting members and workplace leaders, and developing their confidence and skills.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
A commitment to and enthusiasm for trade unionism is essential, together with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills required to effectively represent the Union to members and potential members. Knowledge of contemporary industrial relations issues and practices as well as experience with a trade union will be highly regarded.

| Salary: |
The organiser salary will be based on the FSU's 3 Tier Organiser Structure and demonstrated capacities.
