2.To oversee the implementation of the ASU Victorian Private Sector Branchs broad communications and media strategy which includes publications, newsletters, our website and media promotion. Ensure that the goals within this strategy are carried out on time and budget.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
It is desirable for the incumbent to have any of the following qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in English, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies or other relevant discipline (preferred but not essential) Work experience in the areas of public relations or journalism, experience in the production of corporate documents and liaison with various media organisations Excellent interpersonal skills particularly highly developed oral and writing skills Proven professional writing skills Experience with layout software Adobe Creative Suite (PC) Working knowledge of other relevant software including Word, Excel, Explorer, Acrobat etc Website maintenance experience is preferred Ability to work as a team member Initiative and the ability to self-start Excellent time management skills It would be an advantage if the incumbent has a sound knowledge of the industries covered by the ASU A demonstrated commitment to trade unionism is required A current valid drivers licence.
