Overview:

The Textile Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia (NSW Branch) seeks to appoint a part-time Project administrator. This challenging role involves providing high level administrative assistance to the Retrenched Worker Advocacy Projects.

---
Job Description:

1. To provide administrative and project support.

2. To develop and maintain databases.

3. To provide organisational and administrative support to both state and nationally based project workers.

4. To coordinate data collection.

5. To organise meetings and events including booking and preparation of venues.

6. To assist with systematically filing and storing hard copy and electronic files.

7. To assist with the preparation and submission of material and reports for funding bodies.

8. To assist with mail outs and electronic communication with retrenched workers pre and post retrenchment.

9. To assist with preparing, updating and managing printed communication materials.

10. To liaise with workers, TCFUA branches, other unions, organisations, industry representatives, government and media.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:

Essential to this role is outstanding organisational skills, communication skills, IT and data management skills and a proven capability to juggle multiple conflicting deadlines in an environment subject to sudden change.

Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication Skills.
Events and Project Administration Skills.
Advanced capacity to use computer applications and technology in particular, database and web software.
Commitment to social justice and union values.
Proven capacity to work as part of a team.

Desired:

Experience in working with people who come from a range of cultural backgrounds is desirable, but not essential.

Knowledge of the TCF industry desirable but also not essential.

Familiarity with a manufacturing environment desirable but not essential.

Second language is desirable but not essential.

Salary:

A competitive remuneration Package will be negotiated with the successful applicant
