| Overview: |
The NTEU (NSW) is seeking to employ Organisers for university based branches of the NTEU. Three positions are available: one full time position at Macquarie University branch one at the University of Technology, Sydney branch, and a .05 part-time position at Charles Sturt University branch preferably located at Bathurst.
The NTEU is a federally registered union with coverage of academic and general staff in higher education. The NTEU (NSW) is responsible for workers in all NSW universities and their associated student organisations, research institutes and companies.

| Job Description: |
General administrative support for the Branch and its Committees, Branch organising, recruitment and campaign activities, maintenance and servicing of Branch delegates and other activists networks, promoting the professional interests of, and communication with, members and providing advice and assistance to members commensurate with the position level appointed.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent; experience in the trade union movement and a commitment to union principles; demonstrated negotiating, advocacy and organising and campaigning skills, word processing and database management skills.
|
|
| Desired: |
Knowledge of the higher education industry; electronic communication skills; experience in production of print media; and a drivers licence.
|
|
| Salary: |
$58,023 pa - $62,732 pa, plus 17% superannuation (Level 5 National Staff Agreement).
