: The key elements of the role of this position include:
Assisting in the negotiation and documentation of collective agreements with employers
Ensuring compliance with the Fair Work Act
Providing specific support to members in the development of appropriate responses to individual and workplace issues.
Representing QIEU and members in negotiations with management.
Preparing for and conducting, as appropriate, matters in the relevant Industrial Commission.
Developing, maintaining and enhancing a database of relevant information and documents.
Working in close collaboration on shared tasks/projects with Organisers and the Industrial Officer.
