| Job Description: |
The role of an LHMU Organiser is to organise workers to realise and exercise their power as a collective so that they may improve their jobs and their industries.
An organiser does this by communicating the vision of the union to workers, recruiting new members, developing leadership among the members, and moving workers to action.
|
| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
- 3 years experience (minimum)
- Participation in the union's political and social justice agenda
- Ability to reflect & critique on individual and team work
- Be responsive to feedback and instruction
- Good communication skills
- Respectful of workers and union staff in all their diversity
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work flexible arrangements
Remuneration will be in accordance with the LHMU National terms & Conditions of Employment
