The Australian Services Union (ASU) is seeking an Industrial Officer for a period of 12 months to work in the Unions National Office in Melbourne.
The ASU is a large and diverse union working with members in local government, social and community services, transport, and a range of other industry sectors to improve the quality of working lives. The Union represents both blue and white collar employees, including professional, administrative and technical employees.

| Job Description: |
Industrial Officers work in a team environment to:
maintain and improve industrial awards and agreements provide industrial advice and representation advocacy before industrial tribunals assist Branches and members with enterprise bargaining undertake industrial research.

| Experience & Qualifications |
| Essential: |
Requirements:
A working knowledge of the Australian industrial relations system A commitment to the union movement and improving the lives of working Australians Experience in union, community, social justice, student or other activist campaigns preferred.

| Desired: |
Legal or IR qualifications
Experience in union, community, or social justice activities.
|
|
| Salary: |
